Trees near in-ground swimming pools

I would like to form an allay down the sides of my in-ground swimming pool. On one side are Arborvitae 'Green Giant' and 'Spartan' Junipers which serve as a screen from my neighbor. On the other side I am considering Ginkgos such as 'Sentinel' or another narrow upright, or another type of tree. Any recommendations? Also, how close is too close to plant to the concrete deck of the pool? Thank you.

I checked with Andre and he said that the Ginkgo 'Sentinel' is narrow but still gets pretty big. It would be fine if you didn't think it would be too large for your purpose. He suggested that you look at his handout on "Small Pyramidal Evergreen Accent Trees" (http://inthegardenradio.com/v.php?pg=129). There is a pyramidal sugar maple that you could consider. He also said that, depending on the tree, you should keep them 20'-25' from the pool deck. I hope this helps.
