Feeding of Japanese Maple Trees

Post by Mark » Thu May 17, 2012 3:23 pm

Mark was very helpful to me last Sunday on Pruning my Tree. My question now is what is the best way to feed it and maintain its rich color, especially this deep into Spring? Thank You, Mark from Monroe, CT.

Do not over-feed your trees and never use 10-10-10 or a high nitrogen lawn fertilizer. The fertilizer of choice for your Japanese maple is Espoma Plant-tone which is a slow release organic fertilizer. Apply according to the label directions.
