insect identification and information

Post by TICIA » Fri Dec 08, 2017 1:33 pm

This odd looking book as turned up over the last 2 weeks; I need to know if it is harmful or helpful. The best I can find is that it is a big footed bug that seems to like tomatoes or it may be a kissing bug which I do not think it is. Google says it is a leptoglossus brevirostris or may be in the acanthocephalan family. If this picture comes thru, can anyone help with further information?

Big Legged Plant Bug
ah - it didn't show up.
