Callicarpa

Post by CarolN » Sun May 24, 2015 9:15 am

Hi, Dutchess County, NY here.

After hearing Andre and Mark speaking about these plants, I bought three this weekend. I'm planting them in a group, about 4-5' apart. Do they require any special soil additions? I was going to add compost, Plant Tone, Phosphate and Green Sand to the soil. Do I need anything else?

Thanks,
Carol

That sounds perfect! Here are Andre's recommendations for planting: http://www.inthegardenradio.com/v.php?pg=925

These are very colorful in the fall. You won't be disappointed!
