Holding a camellia japonica for planting later

Post by kmcc54 » Sun Dec 09, 2018 7:43 pm

I just bought a camellia japonica. I want to plant it in several weeks on the Eastern Shore of Virginia - zone 8a. What is the best way to hold this plant in Leesburg, VA - zone 6b. I recently bought it while visiting South Carolina. It has a lot of buds and several beautiful blooms. Would a garage be suitable, and if so, should I take it outside during the day. Many thanks for your assistance.
